Side Lying Backhand Tutorial
Side Lying Backhand is designed to reintegrate the posterior shoulder stabilizer, the rear deltoid. When performing this move, think about trying to pull up a bucket of water without tipping it over, so the range of motion remains in front of your body at all times. This video uses a MELT Performance Band and is ideal for anyone who plays a swing sport, does yoga, rock climbs, or weight lifts.
You can perform this move on it's own, in tandem with Side Lying Arm Fans, or add it to the Advanced Upper Body Compression Sequence to create a more comprehensive upper body map. To experience this move as part of a sequence, watch the Upper Body Stability Sequence.
TOOLS YOU NEED: MELT Soft Roller or MELT Performance Roller, MELT Performance Band
